Restricted access changed Moto G - solved



Issue:


Can't make a call or send SMS in Moto G. Shows following error message in Notification Area.

Restricted access changed
Voice service is blocked
Data service is blocked

This issue occurs randomly. Haven't flashed any custom ROM. It occurs in the OS that came with Motorola.

Solution

You can go to Moto G settings. In mobile network preferences set either GSM only or WCDMA only instead of Auto mode. The issue only occurs in auto mode settings.

I set GSM only, as there is no 3G in my circle. This issue occurs when network change from GSM to WCDMA or WCDMA to GSM automatically. Issue get resolved if it is set to single option.

m3u8 crossdomain access denied

I got this error when I tried to play Live TV from a website. I fixed it by following this procedure: You can ignore this error by changing the settings in internet options. Step 1: Open internet explorer Step 2: Go to "Internet Options" Step 3: Click"Secuirty" tab Step 4: Click "Internet" icon Step 5: Choose "Custom Level" and scroll down to "Miscellaneous" Step 6: One of the options should be "Access data sources across domain" - set this to "Enable".
