Microsoft launched its own file manager named as Files. I wanted a good file manger to organize and send/receive files without connecting it to my laptop. I was worried that I was using a third party file manager. Recently Microsoft came up with new file manager named as Files. Again the sad part is, this app is not compatible with Windows Phone 8. I also run Windows 8 in my phone and I am waiting for Windows 8.1 official launch. I recommend you guys to wait for Windows 8.1 official launch and don't go for developer preview which has some drawbacks. If you have Windows Phone 8.1 and searching for File Manager app then don't hesitate to download the below app.

Features in Files

There is nothing out of the blue in this file manager. I trust this app because it is developed by Microsoft. Usual features like searching file in SD card as well as phone, sharing one or multiple files, create new folder, copy/move to organize your files, rename and delete function can be performed. So to summarize it

  • View files in SD card plus Phone
  • Search files
  • Share files
  • Cut, copy, paste, rename and delete feature

m3u8 crossdomain access denied

I got this error when I tried to play Live TV from a website. I fixed it by following this procedure: You can ignore this error by changing the settings in internet options. Step 1: Open internet explorer Step 2: Go to "Internet Options" Step 3: Click"Secuirty" tab Step 4: Click "Internet" icon Step 5: Choose "Custom Level" and scroll down to "Miscellaneous" Step 6: One of the options should be "Access data sources across domain" - set this to "Enable".
