Moto E Android smartphone launched with suprise price. Its price is low than we expected. Priced at 129 dollar, makes biggest rival to Samsung, Sony economical phones. Still with low price the quality is not compromised. Usually with this price the body look weak but here it looks premium.
Specification:
The specification is not new to this world but for the price cap. Moto E has dual SIM capability, both are micro-SIM. It has 4.3 inch touchscreen with bright display. Display is pleasing with good viewing angle and built quality. Similar design to Moto G, curved edges and slating rear panel. Two speakers are in front each above and below the display. No front camera, 5 MP camera in rear without flash is available. Buttons for power and volume controls are on the right side. Non-replacable battery is a bit concern. All Moto G colors are available for Moto E as well.
Hardware:
Motorola Moto E use 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor while other manufacturers opt for cheap MediaTek processor. It offers 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage where 3 GB is usable. Storage can be extended using 32 GB memory card. Connectivity such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth were available. LED notification is there.
It is told that it has water repellant coating. It doesn't means you can soak the phone in water. It just provide little bit protection. It also got Gorilla Glass 3 as protective measure against scratches.

Software:
It is obvious that Moto E runs Android OS. Version it got out of the box is KitKat, v.4.4. It has some Motorola dedicated apps like Alert and Assist. There is no much difference in Android theme. Given with light themed Android version runs phone faster. Capable to run most of the popular
Android games as it got 1 GB RAM.

Performance and stability:
My usage of this phone is only a day. I notice the touch response is good. I installed
Brave Heroes game, as I expected there is no lag. It is 40+ MB game developed by come2us. I encounter delay in Android device to run a 40+ MB app. But true colors will be revealed only after 3 months usage. As a new mobile it is fast enough.
Multi-tasking is improved in Android than its previous version. Camera app interface is bit changed. It is slightly similar to Nokia Camera app for Windows Phone. Phone is stable as it can handle all the task using 1 GB RAM. Motorola officially made comparision to Samsung S3 claiming that its app launching time is faster. To my eyes I feel both are same.
In the box:
I admit, I wanted all color panels in my box, but there isn't. So what I get is one headphone and charger. There is no USB cable. Transferring files in Android phone is not a big issue, use Bluetooth or Wi-Fi transfer.

Verdict:
Initial test results were pleasing. It is clear that it has good hardware. Attracting feature is 1 GB RAM for the price.
